The Blackening Of The Moon

The suffocating darkness of your

bleeding scars in the cold, murky night,

Black wisps of the rising mist of bitter

pain, is choking and clouding your sight,

You are waiting in the dark, dead forest

of fear, yet not feeling the shivering fright,

Lying to yourself, that the cold and the pain

will go away, as love will make you heart ignite.

In the painful silence of the countless skies,

you look for that one shimmering star,

Searching in the darkness, so close,

for the fragment of lights, so far,

You are looking wistfully at the abyss of

the heavens, hiding the most painful scar,

Lying to yourself, that it is the stars, not the

spaces in between, that make you who you are.

Standing in the cold and plaintive winds,

as they whisper their mournful song,

Pulling at the cloak around your bones,

in the failing strength, trying to remain strong,

The daggers of icy blasts of frigid air,

that have been cutting into you all along,

Lying to yourself that you are the warm breeze,

and the frozen gale is not where you belong.

Black blood flowing out of the scars of the

night, and into the chalice of the fatal boon,

The death in the darkness starts to sway

to the reaper’s grief-stricken tune,

The dark sky turns darker as you become

dreary from the cold and start to swoon,

Lying to yourself that it is a just a dark cloud

in the sky, and not the blackening of the moon
