Web of Lies
This is what it feels like to fall.
It’s been a continuous fall, one that’s been going on for a while now. I’ve been falling deeper and deeper into an unknown abyss, waiting.
There’s a voice calling to me, a deep familiar baritone. It echoes throughout the invisible walls that’s surrounding me. And as each echo slowly disappears, it leaves a feeling of restlessness within me.
“I like you,” the voice had once said.
That was when I felt it—a brush against my arm, so small that I barely noticed. It’s smooth—almost like silk—and it latched onto me.
“You’re different, not like all the other people I know.” It’s the same voice again…
