Besides him, the one he always dreamt about.

Looks into her eyes, and feels no pain.

All he can hear is his heart shout.

 

Being with her was about the greatest gift,

That he’d ever received in his belief of eternity.

And all he wanted to tell her something, a shrift.

That he loved her, and would never flee.

 

He woke up with a start, his heart racing.

Beads of sweat glimmering on his forehead.

He was so close to letting his heart sing.

For her, but he’d rather be dead.

 

It seemed so perfect in that dream.

But then reality smiled upon him.

With that evil face, plotting a scheme.
